Prince George’s County Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program

The Prince George’s County Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program supports projects that improve communities, improve water quality, support the County’s Climate Action plan, and engage County residents in the restoration and protection of the local rivers and streams.

What does this program fund? Examples projects include stormwater management practices; tree canopy outreach, education, maintenance, and preservation; community awareness and engagement; and litter reduction and community beautification.

Prince George’s County
Rain Check Rebate Program

The Prince George’s County Rain Check Rebate Program offers rebate incentives to homeowners, businesses, and others to install practices that will improve stormwater runoff quality, reduce pollution, and improve local stream and river health.

What does this program fund? Eligible practices include rain barrels, cisterns, rain gardens, conservation landscaping, urban tree canopy, pavement removal, permeable pavement, and green roofs.

Prince George’s County Community Gardens Mini-Grant Program

The Prince George’s County Community Gardens Mini-Grant Program supports the creation and need for gardens that provide resources to the Prince George’s County community while supporting the County’s Climate Action Plan.

What does this program fund? The development of new community gardens as well as the growth of existing community gardens that plan to expand regenerative practices.

Prince George’s County Community Resilience Hub Grant Program

The Prince George’s County Community Resilience Hub Grant Program supports community-based organizations in establishing resilience hubs and providing services to better prepare for climate change.

What does this program fund? Typically, projects will fall under one or more of the five high-level categories: services and programs, communications equipment, buildings and landscape, power systems, and operations. Resilience hubs must have a physical location and/or have the ability to be mobilized to provide services and relief leading up to, during, or after climate-related events.
