
The Anne Arundel County Forestry Board and the Chesapeake Bay Trust announce a partnership to provide small community-based grants (up to $2,500) to help communities and organizations increase the number of trees and tree canopy in neighborhoods, parks, and communities throughout Anne Arundel County. Neighborhood by neighborhood, community stewardship projects are helping to raise public awareness about the health of our region’s tree canopy, watersheds, air quality, streams, rivers, and the Bay, as well as the steps that can be taken to restore and protect them.
What this funds: Community tree plantings and invasive species removal in Anne Arundel County.
Who can apply: Non-profit organizations, community associations, faith-based organizations and more.
How much can be awarded: Up to $2,500.
Is match required? Match is encouraged, but not required.
Grant Application Process: The Chesapeake Bay Trust’s grant applications are all submitted through an online system. Use the “New Grant” button under the “Start a New Application” section, to the right, to begin your online application. You are able to save your application and come back to it any time. Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all funding is expended. All proposals must be received at least eight weeks prior to the start of the proposed projects.
