Have a question about the new system? Check the FAQ below, and if you don’t see your answer, email us at grantadmin@cbtrust.org. If you have a question about a specific program or application, please reach out to the award manager for that program.
Do I have to start using the new system right away? Can I continue to use the old system?
We strongly encourage you to use the new system. You’ll still have access to the old system through the end of July 2026 (approximately), but Trust staff will be conducting work using the new system. Any submissions using the old system may result in a slight delay in a response from the Trust staff.
Does this transition affect any of my info/data/deliverables/deadlines already in the old system?
It should not. We’ve transferred all data from the old system. If you receive any errant or incorrect messages about outstanding or overdue requirements, please contract Trust staff.
Will the portal be in different languages?
No, not at this time.
Does it matter which staff person manages the portal?
The primary contact or project lead should manage the account. Additional collaborators can be added to each application and requirement, but only the primary contact will receive notifications related to the application/grant.
I already had an account in Blackbaud Grantmaking. What happened to my open requirements?
Any open requirements will have transferred over and can be accessed through the “Action Items” section of the home page under the “Reports and Contingencies” tab. If you had a partially completed requirement in Blackbaud Grantmaking that had not yet been submitted, those details will not have transferred over. You will need to restart your requirement in the new portal. You can watch a video on this process at cbtrust.org/login under Getting Started.
I can’t get past the eligibility quiz. What am I missing?
Please click save draft, then “Submit” to move past the quiz.
My Blackbaud Grantmaking account was tied to a communal email/used by multiple people. Who will be able to access this account in the new system?
Whoever resets the password and logs into the account first will gain access to the account.
I clicked ‘forgot password’ but didn’t receive a reset email.
Check your spam/junk folder. If you find the reset email there, please add that email address to your safe senders list to prevent future system emails from being routed to your spam folder. If you haven’t received an email after five minutes, please contact Trust staff for additional assistance.
I tried to create an account and was told that an account already existed.
On the home page, click ‘forgot password’. This will send a link to reset your password to the email tied to your account.
What should I do if I have login or portal issues?
Email grantadmin@cbtrust.org with your questions. We anticipate there will be some bumps, but hope to make this as smooth and simple a transition as possible.
I already had an account in the old portal, do I have to create a new account?
Your old account was transferred and is set up for use in our new system. Click the ‘forgot password’ button and set a new password to gain access to your old account in the new portal. You can watch a video on this process at www.cbtrust.org/login under Getting Started.
The applicant/organization information on my application/report is incorrect. How do I edit it?
Organization and Project Lead information cannot be edited on applications or reports. To make changes to this information, navigate to the home page and open the “My Profile” or “Organization Profile” modules. You can update your personal or organization information there.
I can’t see the budget table to enter my budget request information.
Please ensure that pop-ups are enabled for the site. The Budget Details table is a pop-up window.
I want to make edits to an application/report that’s already been submitted. How can I do this?
Applications and reports cannot be edited after they are submitted. If you need to make any edits, please reach out to Trust staff for assistance.
