The Chesapeake Bay Trust is proud to partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration to offer grant support for sustainable schools programs in all jurisdictions of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Applicants are welcome from all Chesapeake Bay watershed states.
What this funds: This opportunity supports efforts to increase participation in sustainable school certification programs in jurisdictions of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
Who can apply: Eligible applicants must organizations or agencies with a direct role in advancing sustainable schools programs with a letter of support from the appropriate state education agency endorsing the proposed project. See RFP for full list of organizations.
How much can be awarded: Up to $15,000 for one-year projects.
Is match required? No, but applicants are strongly encouraged to leverage support with cash and in kind match.
Deadline: The deadline was March 3, 2016 at 5:00 pm.
Partners: The Trust work collaboratively with the US Environmental Protection Agency, Chesapeake Bay Program and the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office to develop and support efforts to advance to Environmental Literacy Goal of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.
