The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Program (https://cbtrust.org/chesapeake-climate-corps/) is one of the Trust’s flagship programs which promotes and protects the environment by providing young adults with opportunities to gain career skills and become more engaged through meaningful community service. The Corps is a one-year term of stipend-supported service that places young adults (ages 18-25) with nonprofits or government agencies to serve full-time in the environmental field. Throughout the year this program provides young professionals with experience, leadership and professional development training, mentorship, and a support network of young environmentalists. Positions offered by host organizations are in the fields of environmental restoration, climate change, community engagement, environmental education, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and forestry.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to identify a qualified contractor to develop and deliver a series of in-person and virtual Financial Literacy trainings for Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Members.

FAQ
Q1: Who is eligible to respond to this Request for Proposals?
A1: Not-for-profit and for-profit entities are eligible to respond to this RFP.
Q2: Will accommodations for the facilitation team for the Leadership Retreat be covered by the Trust, or should applicants include those costs in their proposed budget?
A2: Lodging and meals for the 3-day, 2-night Leadership Retreat training are covered by the Trust (lunch and dinner day 1, breakfast, lunch, and dinner day 2, and breakfast and lunch day 3 as well as two nights of lodging on day 1 and day 2). Any lodging and meals prior to or after those provided should be incorporated into the proposed budget or covered separately.
Q3: Are there expected deliverable due dates for draft agendas and final agendas before the Leadership Retreat?
A3: The Trust anticipates structuring the deliverables so the draft and final agendas will be due prior to the October 2026 Leadership Retreat. Within that timeline, the Trust will work with the selected contractor to identify due dates for each deliverable.
Q4: Will the Trust provide any participant data to support curriculum development?
A4: The Trust will share non-confidential participant information (ie. Name, Corps Host Organization) with the selected contractor.
Q5: Is there a target award date or expected selection notice window?
A5: The Trust anticipates notifying contractors whether they have been selected no later than June 1, 2026.
Request for Qualifications for Tree-Planting Service Providers
The purpose of this Request for Qualification (“RFQ”) is to develop a list of qualified tree service providers that can support various technical aspects of a tree planting project in underserved urban areas with, e.g., (site identification, tree species selection, procurement, obtaining services, and managing contractors). Ultimately, the goal is to provide groups applying to the Chesapeake Bay Trust Urban Trees Grant Program with resources and support in a number of areas as related to their tree planting efforts.
